Sweet, crazy, funny, energetic, loving, relentless Gianna,
I cant believe how quickly the weeks and months just pass us by. You are growing so fast and such a beautiful little girl. These last 2 months I would say have had the most growth in terms of your personality blossoming and really seeing more about who you are going to be. I am sure some of it has to do with having an older sister to defend yourself to, you definitely don’t let your age play a factor in your role in this house.
At 16 months you are:
-Wearing 24 month clothes and size 6 shoes
-Sleeping 12+ hours/night and usually napping for 2 hours each day
-A great eater. This month you really love dip, especially the chik-fil-a sauce! Your coordination is getting really good to pick up small pieces of food and dip them before shoving it into your mouth. It surely makes for a mess but a dang cute one!
-Enjoying preschool two days a week with your sister. You love Miss Erica and really love playing with all the kids
-Had your first pedicure
-Are sleeping in a crib in the same room as your sister , we occasionally have issues but for the most part you are the better sleeper and Olivia’s issues don’t seem to wake you up
-Have started to hit when you get frustrated. The funniest part (and no we don’t think hitting people out of anger is funny) is that you will hit anything that’s around, the couch, fridge, cabinet, etc.
-Love sitting on our laps for us to read you a story
-Dance on command
-Communicating really well and understand every word we say
-Love to point at things
-LOVE shoes! You would hoard shoes if you could. Anytime you get into the garage you pick up as many as your little arms can hold and proudly carry them into the house
-Constantly getting toys taken away from you by your big sister
-Screeching every time you see one of us walk in the room, especially when picking you up from school or getting you from daycare at Church. You get so excited!
-LOVE juice and water, you are always thirsty and after you take a big drink you let out the biggest ‘aaahhhh’ sound
-Hate having your diaper changed and if you know we are going to do it you run the other way
-Shake your head no with a little smirk on your face to get a rise out of us
-Always wave at strangers and will go to anyone
-Love other kids and playing
-Have tons of fun at the daycare at Church
-Dont have any attachments to any items, no blankies or stuffed animals or binkies
-Love playing outside and would spend the entire day crawling in and out of the dog door
-Learning how to antagonize your sister
-Love the window rolled down in the car
-Finally have enough have to have a pony or pigtails
-Love the waterslide and learned how to climb up the slide part
Get bigger and smarter and sweeter and funnier each and every day. Daddy and I are so incredibly blessed to have a daughter like you!
